WELCOME |
|
Zion Lutheran Church has always been an active part of the world community. From sponsoring a missionary in Russia to support of rural ministry, from Lutheran World Relief to providing a community used furniture room, Zion is "a church without walls". Our members recognize the importance of their baptisms and through worship and regular holy communion, believe God's call to discipleship is a call to faith in action. We invite you to worship with us.

SUMMER 2009
How would you describe your world? Business, job, retirement activities, family? How does living in your world define who you are? Or does it? So often we just live in our worlds and never realize who we really are, that is, until our world intersects with another world.
If you have had a loved one in the hospital for an extended period of time, your world shrinks to the hospital room. You become acquainted with the doctors' names and visit with the cleaning personnel. If you become entangled in the legal system or social services, or if you lose your job and must apply for benefits -- suddenly worlds collide and we are confused and can sink into despair.
Jesus calls us out of "our world" into His world. We must still live in the confusion of this life, but being part of Jesus' world gives us citizenship in a place of hope and encouragement for the days ahead.
"Jesus calls us o'er the tumult. . ." |
